New Sons of Anarchy spinoffs in the works?

Sons of Anarchy's creator suggests that he has two more spinoff shows in mind.

Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter has revealed that he hopes to create two more spinoff series to complete the show's "mythology".

The main series ran for seven seasons and followed the lives of a Californian outlaw motorcycle club, headed up by Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam), before ending in 2014.

In 2018, a spinoff called Mayans MC launched, centred around the rival/ally Mayans Motorcycle Club gang from the original series.

Now Suttner has said that he wants to launch a spinoff called First Nine, which would serve as a prequel, and Sam Crow, focussed on Jax's sons Abel and Thomas.

Speaking to fans on Facebook, Suttner said: "I had this revelation between SoA and Mayans, that the SoA mythology would be four shows. Sons of Anarchy, Mayans M.C., First Nine and Sam Crow.

"First Nine would be a limited series. Nine episodes. It would end before we began to tread on history we created in Sons.

"Sam Crow would be the fate of Wendi, Nero, Abel and Thomas.

"I can't discuss my current situation with Fox, so right now I can't comment on the reality of any of this happening."

All seven seasons of Sons of Anarchy are available to stream on Netflix UK, while season two of Mayans MC is expected to air on BBC Two later this year.
