Universal is reportedly working on a reboot of the 1996 disaster movie Twister.
The film starred Helen Hunt and the late Bill Paxton as estranged husband and wife storm chasers who are reunited in the pursuit of a breakthrough in tornado research.
The original, written by Michael Crichton and directed by Jan de Bont, was a huge box office success, pulling in almost $500 million on a budget of around $90 million.
According to Variety, Universal is in talks with Top Gun: Maverick's Joseph Kosinski to helm the project, with Frank Marshall producing.
No further details about the reboot are yet known, although the film is a shoo-in for a summer slot, meaning that it is most likely being earmarked for release in 2022.
