Will Arnett will play the lead in a US version of BBC Three comedy Murder In Successville.

Will Arnett is to star in a US version of BBC Three's Murder In Successville for Netflix.

The cult comedy - created by Tom Davis - features a celebrity guest investigating a murder in a fictional town, where all of the residents are famous people - all of whom are portrayed by impressionists.

The celebrity taking part in each episode has no script and no idea of what will happen next, and at the end of the show they must name who they think the killer is.

The Netflix version will be titled Murderville, with guests in the first season confirmed as Sharon Stone, Conan O'Brien, Ken Jeong, Kumail Nanjiani, Marshawn Lynch and Annie Murphy. Arnett will play the celebrities' guide, Senior Detective Terry Seattle.

The show is due for release on Thursday, February 3.
