Katie Price avoids a court hearing by paying off a long-standing debt at the 11th hour.

Katie Price has avoided having to attend court today after she paid off an outstanding fine.

The 43-year-old was summoned by Crawley Magistrates Court over unpaid court fees totalling £7,358 which she had been owing since 2019.

According to The Sun, Price settled the debt on Friday - just hours before she was dramatically arrested after being accused of breaching a restraining order.

The former glamour model is said to be facing up to five years in jail for allegedly sending abusive text messages to Michelle Penticost, the fiancée of her ex-husband Kieran Hayler.

Price is currently on a 16-week suspended sentence for a separate incident last year when she crashed her car while under the influence at a time she was also banned from driving.

Meanwhile, she is also due in court on February 14 for a bankruptcy hearing as she is thought to have reneged on a 2019 agreement to pay back her creditors £12,000 a month.
