Katie Price has admitted that she came up with a plan to commit suicide when she was at her lowest a few years ago.
In the space of 18 months, the former glamour model saw her third marriage break down, learn that her mother was terminally ill and enter rehab - in addition to being declared bankrupt.
The 42-year-old has since turned her life around and is planning to marry new boyfriend Carl Woods, but has revealed just how much she struggled with her mental health in an interview for the BBC Northern Ireland programme Nolan Live.
"I wanted to commit suicide," she said. "I planned it, I did everything... Everything was on top of me, it was a build up.
"I'm only human, I'm strong but there's only so much you can take and I could have either committed suicide or got help."
She continued: "Every time I went to do it I thought: 'I can't, I've got kids, sort yourself out', so I asked for help, got help, and I stuck to it.
"I went to The Priory for five weeks and I'm a brand new person now."
Price has five children including disabled son Harvey Price, whose struggles were recently documented in the acclaimed BBC documentary Katie Price: Harvey and Me.
