Bruno Tonioli is to reportedly return to Strictly Come Dancing this Christmas, albeit to sing rather than judge.

Bruno Tonioli will reportedly make a return to Strictly Come Dancing this Christmas - but to sing rather than judge the contestants.

The 66-year-old officially stepped down from the judging panel of the contest earlier this year in order to focus on Dancing With The Stars, with Anton Du Beke stepping up full time to replace him.

According to the Daily Mail, however, Tonioli will return to the show for this year's festive special for a musical performance in which he will provide the vocals.

A source told the newspaper: "Bruno loves to sing. He did an opera album called An Italian Romance back in 2016 and who knows, it might turn into a new career for him."

The special episode is due to be pre-recorded in the coming weeks for broadcast on BBC One on Christmas Day.
