Legendary Arsenal defender Tony Adams is reportedly in discussions about appearing on this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
The popular BBC dance show is returning for a new series in September and producers are now in the final stages of assembling the celebrity lineup.
According to The Sun, they are hopeful of convincing 55-year-old Adams - four-time league winner and three-time FA Cup winner with the Gunners - of taking part, in addition to actress turned presenter Kym Marsh.
Marsh, 46, is best known for her 13-year stint as Michelle Connor on Coronation Street and being one of the original members of Hear'Say, and will soon be seen in the BBC's revival of Waterloo Road.
"This is shaping up to be a fantastic year for Strictly," a source told the newspaper. "They are thrilled to have brought a footballing legend of Tony's stature to the table.
"And they are pulling out all the stops to sign Kym as well. She has been a target for them for years, and while it is not a done deal, they are very hopeful.
"She has her offer and is considering her options."
Others in the frame for the show include ex-Liverpool keeper Bruce Grobelaar, presenter Helen Skelton, former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas and Team GB diver Tom Daley. body check tags ::
