Oliver Medforth, the first candidate to be fired from this year's The Apprentice, has revealed a surprising new business venture.
The sales executive, who hails from Yorkshire, was shown the finger by Lord Sugar after failing to impress on the first task - a corporate away day in the Scottish Highlands.
Oliver was put in charge of baking the dessert for the clients - chocolate brownies - but forgot to use flour in the recipe, helping to contribute to the boys' team making an overall loss during the task.
Since leaving the process, however, Oliver has turned his disaster into a new business venture and now sells flourless chocolate brownies online.
He told The Sun: "It was upsetting to go out first, but it's given me an opportunity to go on to do something else - and I've actually got an alternative flourless chocolate brownie business.
"It came about off the back of what happened on the show where I was left on my own to do the dessert, and I wouldn't have been doing this if I hadn't been fired first.
"The brownies are already out now and available to buy."
The Apprentice continues this Thursday at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer with a cheesecake-themed task. body check tags ::
