Friends star Courteney Cox is reportedly in the frame for the upcoming celebrity edition of The Traitors.

Courteney Cox has emerged as the first potential contestant on the upcoming celebrity version of The Traitors.

The second series of the treacherous reality show aired on BBC One last month, peaking with more than 8 million viewers for its finale.

The broadcaster wasted no time in commissioning a third series but also a celebs-only version, and The Sun says that Friends and Scream legend Cox - good friend of host Claudia Winkleman - is a serious contender to take part.

"The fact the producers have a star from Friends in their sights shows the kind of calibre of famous faces Celebrity Traitors is aiming for," a source told the newspaper.

"After the show was announced, producers were swamped with calls from big names and their agents wanting to throw their hat in the ring - many of them a big surprise.

"Courteney has always been a fan of the show, particularly as the British version has her mate Claudia fronting it."

The celeb version of the show will be filmed after the third series of the main edition and is likely to air in early 2025.
