Tiger King star Joe Exotic has penned an open letter to his fans after claiming that he is being restricted to sending just 15 replies a week in prison.
The 57-year-old is currently serving a 22-year jail term for multiple charges, including an alleged plot to murder his long-term rival Carole Baskin.
Exotic gained worldwide fame upon the release of the Netflix series Tiger King earlier this year and is now hoping that the media attention will help his plea to be given a presidential pardon by Donald Trump.
"I am so sorry you have to get a letter like this, this prison is doing everything to keep me from talking, so they have cut off me responding to each letter personally by only allowing 15 letters out a week," he wrote in the letter, a copy of which was uploaded to his Twitter account.
"Hell I get 25 per day in so my legal team will be copying this to send to you, I do get to read your letters, thank you for your love, your kind words, and your support.
"Please keep my story alive and please keep asking our dear president to make this right and pardon me. I will continue to advocate for a fair and honest justice system for years to come.
"The world came together on its own to support a gay redneck and his husband so I know the world still has hope."
The release of Exotic's letter comes on the day that he was ordered to hand over control of his Oklahoma zoo to Baskin.
