Match of the Day host Gary Lineker is to front a new "high stakes" gameshow for ITV this autumn, it has been announced.
In Sitting On A Fortune, six contestants will sit on a row of chairs and face questions from Lineker, with wrong answers relegating the contestant to the back of the line.
Only the player in the top chair can answer questions and ultimately, the person left in the hot seat could win a cash prize worth up to £100,000.
"I am absolutely delighted to be hosting what I think and hope will be a show that people love," said Lineker, who has been working at the BBC for more than 25 years.
"It's going to be full of tension with high stakes and bags of drama from start to finish - everything a great game show should be.
"I can't wait for the viewers at home to experience the fun and the excitement of Sitting On A Fortune."
The new format was developed by game show maestro Glenn Hugill, who has previously been responsible for shows including Deal Or No Deal, 5 Gold Rings and Pointless. body check tags ::
