Jennifer Hudson to host new US talkshow?
Jennifer Hudson could present her own US talkshow as an effective replacement for Ellen DeGeneres's show when it ends next year.

Jennifer Hudson is reportedly attached to a potential new US talkshow from the team behind The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

DeGeneres, 63, is calling time on her long-running show at the end of the season following an impressive 19 years on the air.

According to Variety, singer and actress Hudson is in line to front a new syndicated show which would effectively serve as a replacement for DeGeneres's.

The publication says that Hudson recently shot a pilot for the format on the same stage as The Ellen DeGeneres Show and the production company is now in the process of pitching the show to various station groups around the US.

Hudson - an Oscar winner, Golden Globe winner and two-time Grammy winner - was recently seen playing Aretha Franklin in the biopic Respect.
