Sky has announced details of seven new commissions across its portfolio of factual channels.

For Sky Nature, the four-part Chasing The Rains is a 4K UHD look at the wildlife of Northern Kenya, which includes cheetahs, elephants and wild dogs living in an unforgiving climate.

The Angel of Vengeance on Sky Crime will tell the story of Crystal Hunnisett, a Brit who is accused of two gruesome murders, while Sky History's The Royal Bastards: The Rise of The Tudors is a docudrama about Lady Margaret Beaufort starring Phil Glenister.

Four commissions are for Sky Documentaries, including The Devil's Advocate, about Giovanni di Stefano, the notorious criminal lawyer without any qualifications; Red Elvis, about Dan Reed, an American who defected to the East during the Cold War; The Billion Dollar Scoundrel, about Allen Stanford, a man who conned the England cricket team; and Hijacked: Flight 73, about the hijacking of Pan Am Flight 73 by Palestinian terrorists.

Poppy Dixon, Sky's head of factual, said: "From profiling famous and infamous characters, to unravelling little known historical events and using innovative technology to explore the natural world, we are proud to bring viewers a diverse range of true stories that will inspire, inform and entertain. We hope to continue our record-breaking year with these new additions to the slate."

The series will begin airing later this year and throughout 2022.
