FIFA 22 Ultimate Team players have been eagerly anticipating the release of the eighth instalment of the Team of the Week, with players from across the globe seeing their stats boosted following stellar displays in their respective leagues.

Here, Sports Mole takes a closer look at the standout performers to make the cut this week as well all of the players to have been rewarded with a coveted in-form card.

NEYMAR - 92

There was a case for Kylian Mbappe to have been included in this Team of the Week after having a hand in all three of his side's goals against Bordeaux, but Neymar pips his teammate to an in-form card this time around.

The Brazilian bagged a brace in that 3-2 win - taking both right-footed strikes with aplomb - and he also completed four successful dribbles from six attempts and won seven ground duels at the Matmut Atlantique.

Neymar's 92-rated card is unsurprisingly the highest-ranked in this week's Team of the Week, as stats of 95 dribbling, 92 pace, 87 passing and 85 shooting make him the dream option on the left-hand side.

JOAO CANCELO - 87

Thriving in his left-back role under Pep Guardiola, Joao Cancelo was the driving force behind Manchester City's derby win over Manchester United and continues to impress for the reigning champions.

The Portuguese provided the cross for Eric Bailly's own goal before setting up Bernardo Silva's second at Old Trafford, only a few days on from chalking up a trio of assists in the Champions League against Club Brugge.

In the absence of quality Premier League left-backs, Joao Cancelo's 87-rated card is a strong rival to Andy Robertson, and 72 shooting represents the all-rounder's lowest statistic of a highly appealing item.

BEN WHITE - 81

Arsenal were the topic of ridicule when they forked out £50m to sign Ben White, but the 23-year-old has proven that he was worth every penny as he preserved his side's clean sheet against Watford.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion man starred with six clearances, three blocks and three interceptions against the Hornets, while also winning six aerial duels and posting an 86% pass success rate, but his form was controversially not enough for a place in the England squad.

White has been handed a tasty +5 upgrade from his regular 76-rated card, with an 81-rated in-form boasting 83 defending, 82 physical and 75 pace, while 72 dribbling is certainly an eye-catching statistic for a centre-back.
