FIFA 22 Ultimate Team players have been eagerly anticipating the release of the tenth instalment of the Team of the Week, with players from across the globe seeing their stats boosted following stellar displays in their respective leagues.

Here, Sports Mole takes a closer look at the standout performers to make the cut this week as well all the players to have been rewarded with a coveted in-form card.

LIONEL MESSI - 94

It has been a long time coming, but Paris Saint-Germain's Lionel Messi finally got off the mark in Ligue 1 during Saturday's 3-1 success over Nantes at the Parc des Princes.

After Kylian Mbappe and Dennis Appiah's own goal put PSG 2-1 to the good following Randal Kolo Muani's equaliser, Messi opened his domestic account for Les Parisiens in the 87th minute, cutting inside before producing a trademark curling finish with his left foot.

Already the highest rated normal card in the game at 93, Messi's upgraded TOTW boasts a staggering 96 dribbling, 93 shooting and 92 passing, although he is certainly not as quick as he used to be with 86 pace - still highly respectable.

N'GOLO KANTE - 91

Showing his former club what they are missing once again, Chelsea's N'Golo Kante - who may unfortunately be set for another spell on the sidelines through injury - capped off a stellar display with an equally impressive goal at the King Power Stadium against Leicester City.

The Frenchman produced a burst of pace from midfield to drive at the Leicester defence, and his beaming smile lit up the away end of the stadium after his effort from the edge of the area found its way past Kasper Schmeichel.

Kante has been rewarded with an eye-catching 91-rated card boasting 88 defending, 84 dribbling and 84 physical, although his shooting is only a measly 67 despite his well-taken effort at Leicester.

TONI KROOS - 89

Producing typically assured displays in the middle of the park without many goal contributions to go with them, Toni Kroos was the heartbeat of the Real Madrid side which eased past Granada 4-1 in Sunday's La Liga battle.

The German had two assists by the 25-minute mark - firstly spotting Marco Asensio through a sea of red and white shirts before a short corner routine with Luka Modric worked perfectly for Nacho to tap home - and he completed 97% of his passes on the day.

Kroos has never been the most enticing card in FIFA Ultimate Team due to his distinct lack of pace - 55 to be exact on his TOTW card - but 92 passing is no less than the silky Real Madrid man warrants.
