Italian fencer Alessio Foconi has admitted that he is disappointed with their men's team foil final defeat to Great Britain at the European Games.
Great Britain won 45-41 to claim gold and Foconi lost two of his three matches.
"We are a bit disappointed with this silver, because we felt we could win the gold before the match and during the match. We didn't start so well into the match," Foconi told reporters.
"The last match is always the most difficult. There are many feelings and the mind is always present - touch, touch. I had a strong will to win the match, but it was not so easy, because [Richard] Kruse is an experienced athlete."
Foconi won the individual foil gold medal on Thursday.
