Hearts have failed to close the gap on league leaders Celtic after a 2-2 draw against strugglers Motherwell, with Aberdeen's 3-1 win against Ross County seeing them rise to second in the Scottish Premiership table.
Motherwell gave up the lead twice as Louis Moult opened the scoring in the second minute. Juanma grabbed an equaliser for Hearts shortly after but Marvin Johnson regained the lead. Osman Sow then scored with 21 minutes remaining to rescue a point.

Partick Thistle leapfrogged Kilmarnock into ninth after a convincing 5-2 victory. Kris Doolan scored twice within the opening 15 minutes before Josh Magennis hit back. Gary Fraser made it three for Partick in the 52nd minute before Mark Connolly struck Killie's second. A brace from Robbie Muirhead late on completed the scoring.
Dundee United remain firmly at the foot of the table after picking up their 12th loss of the season at home to Hamilton Academical. The Accies had to come from behind though, after Billy McKay opened the scoring on the half-hour mark. Second-half goals from Lucas Tagliapietra and Ziggy Gordon gave Hamilton the win.
