Aberdeen are through to the semi-final of the Scottish Cup after a 1-0 win against Dumbarton at Pittodrie this afternoon.
Adam Rooney netted the winner on 52 minutes when he converted from close range with a header from Cameron Smith's corner.
Barry Robson had earlier gone close for Aberdeen when his effort took a deflection en route to goal but the effort was held by Stephen Grindlay.
Rooney nearly added a second shortly after the opener, but he couldn't quite stretch enough to meet a knock back from Jonny Hayes just after the hour mark.
Dumbarton mustered something of a late rally with an effort from Mark Gilhaney going closest but Aberdeen held on to go through to the last four.
