Chievo remain bottom of the Serie A table, having played out a dull goalless draw with fellow strugglers Bologna this evening.
The first half lacked any sort of attacking threat as neither side managed as much as a shot on goal - on or off target - in the opening 45 minutes.
The second half was not much better, with Panagiotis Kone providing a relative highlight when he skewed an effort well wide of Christian Puggioni's far post.
The first shot on target of the match finally came in the 62nd minute. Jonathan Cristaldo let fly from distance, although the effort was easy for Puggioni, who made a routine save.
The first real chance of the match came 10 minutes from time when Chievo cleared the ball only as far as Davide Moscardelli, who cut inside before forcing a good save from the visiting keeper.
The hosts had a decent chance to win it in the dying moments when Rolando Bianchi latched onto Diego Perez's pass, but the Italian striker fired his shot past the near post.
