Carlos Tevez's advisor Kia Joorabchian is in talks with AC Milan over a move for the Manchester City striker.
Sky Sports Italia claim that Milan CEO Adriano Galliani and transfer director Ariedo Braida have spoken with Joorbachian at the Serie A side's headquarters.
Milan are keen to take the Argentinian on loan in January in a deal worth £4.3m.
It would cost the Rossoneri a further £17m if they wanted to make the deal permanent in the summer.
The striker has been heavily linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium following a number of recent incidents.
The 27-year-old was fined and suspended by the Premier League side after he was found to have refused to warm up during a Champions League match against Bayern Munich in September.
Tevez then missed training to fly back to Argentina without manager Roberto Mancini's permission. He has remained in the country since then.
The former Manchester United player would be ineligible to play in the Champions League for Milan having made one appearance in the competition this season for City.
