The Football Association have suspended Accrington Stanley managing director Robert Heys from all football activities for 21 months due to breaching betting rules.
Heys was charged with the offences earlier this month following the news that Stoke City forward Cameron Jerome had been charged with similar rule breaches.
A statement from the FA said: "Heys has notified The FA of his intention to appeal. Heys admitted a number of breaches of The FA's Betting Rules and requested a personal hearing."
The governing body also issued a £1,000 fine.
