Oxford United have fallen two points off the pace in League Two with a 3-2 home defeat to Plymouth Argyle.
Caolan Lavery put visitors Plymouth ahead in the opening minutes of the second half, but Asa Hall equalised 20 minutes later.
Reuben Reid scored twice in the final 10 minutes for Plymouth, although Curtis Nelson put the ball into his own net late on to make it a nervy finish at the Kassam Stadium.
The result means that Chesterfield are now in pole position in the table as they drew 1-1 with 10-man Hartlepool United at home.
