Ajaccio head coach Christian Bracconi has revealed his disappointment that his side were unable to capitalise on a Marseille side not at their best in Friday night's 3-1 defeat.
Bracconi said that it was clear why Ajaccio are rooted to the bottom of the league table with their defending against Andre Ayew, who helped himself to a hat-trick on the night.
"I think we could have done better, we could have used the hostility of the OM fans to put more pressure on them," Bracconi told Ligue1.com. "They were timid, but we didn't play well.
"If we'd scored before half time, it would have changed things. But the thing that upsets me most is the three goals that we conceded. When you concede goals like that, you can just assess the damage and analyse the defeat.
"Everyone saw that at half time the fans weren't happy with their team. I told the players that before the game and again at half time. I told the players we could take advantage, and that we mustn't make mistakes, but we made errors that at this level are unforgivable."
Ajaccio have won just three games in the league all season.
