Real Valladolid midfielder Patrick Ebert has apologised to his teammates after seeing red in their 1-0 defeat to Almeria at the weekend.
The German was given his marching orders after receiving two yellow cards, but he has questioned whether the decision was correct.
"I do not know if it was fair or not, but I only committed two fouls in the game," Ebert told reporters.
"I admit that I was not correctly in the game, I was very angry, at 110%, we were not playing well and we were losing unfairly.
"It was a game to forget. I should have checked myself a little more and I will try not to repeat it again. I have already apologised to the dressing room."
Ebert will miss the clash with Valencia this weekend.
