Mark Roberts's 45th-minute strike is enough for Clyde to see off Annan Athletic in a tense game.

Clyde have held on to beat Annan Athletic 1-0 this evening, thanks to a goal from Mark Roberts.

Annan went close to taking the lead through Rabin Omar's header, which was tipped over the bar, while Clyde's Brian McQueen went close with a close-range header.

At the end of a first half which had few chances, Clyde broke the deadlock when Mark Roberts converted Paul Slane's cross into the bottom corner.

The home side almost doubled their lead in the 59th minute, as Keigan Parker's shot from distance flashed just over the bar, before McQueen's header from a corner narrowly missed.

Annan pushed forward as the game progressed but they couldn't break through, and they were fortunate not to fall further behind as both Parker and Scott Durie hit the woodwork.
