Argentina winger Angel di Maria has claimed that Chile played the "perfect" game to win the Copa America.
Host nation Chile were crowned champions last night by beating the Argentines on penalties following a goalless 120 minutes in Santiago.
Di Maria, who was forced off with a hamstring problem during the first half, believes that the Chileans did everything right to clinch the trophy for the first time in their history.
"Again it was decided in a matter of seconds, and again we could not achieve our objective," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "We did everything to win, we had many chances. Chile's tactics in the match were perfect."
Reports have suggested that Di Maria's hamstring injury could see him miss the start of the Premier League season for Manchester United.
