Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg with Real Madrid.
Sports Mole

Halfway there to knocking out the holders, Arsenal aim to finish the job against Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night.

Mikel Arteta masterminded a tremendous 3-0 victory in last week's opening encounter at the Emirates, where two outrageous Declan Rice free kicks preceded a tidy Mikel Merino finish in North London.

However, Champions League nights at the Bernabeu are never a foregone conclusion, and the Gunners were dealt a few more fitness blows in the weekend's 1-1 Premier League draw with Brentford.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the second leg.

Ben White

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: April 16 (vs. Real Madrid)

Ben White was an unexpected absentee from the squad to face Brentford at the weekend, and it subsequently emerged that the right-back had suffered a knock in training, making him a doubt for the jaunt to Madrid.

Thomas Partey

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: April 16 (vs. Real Madrid)

Likewise, Thomas Partey sustained an unspecified blow at the weekend after opening the scoring in the London derby, and his availability for Wednesday's second leg remains up in the air at present.

Jorginho

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Abdominal
Possible return date: April 16 (vs. Real Madrid)

Arsenal's third and final new casualty from the weekend, Jorginho was struggling with his breathing after taking a blow to his midriff against Brentford, and it remains to be seen if he will be fit for Wednesday.

Gabriel Jesus

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Still on the long road to recovery from an ACL tear, Gabriel Jesus has already been ruled out for the rest of the season and may not feature again until the start of 2026.

Gabriel Magalhaes

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Another Brazilian named Gabriel who will not play again this term, key defender Gabriel Magalhaes suffered a severe hamstring injury against Fulham earlier this month, although Jakub Kiwior performed admirably in his place in the first leg.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

The unfortunate Takehiro Tomiyasu has made just one appearance this season either side of two serious knee problems, and his latest could sideline him for the rest of the calendar year.

Kai Havertz

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: May 25 (vs. Southampton)

Kai Havertz was initially expected to be out for the rest of the season with the hamstring tear he sustained during Arsenal's Dubai training camp, but Arteta has now suggested that the German might be fit to return before the end of the season.

Riccardo Calafiori

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: April 20 (vs. Ipswich Town)

Riccardo Calafiori sustained a moderate knee injury while representing Italy during the March international break, and the second leg is expected to come too soon for the former Bologna man, but he is expected to return at some point later this month.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players banned for the second leg, but Partey, Rice, Jurrien Timber and Gabriel Martinelli will miss the first leg of the semi-finals - should Arsenal get there - if they are booked at the Bernabeu.
