Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi could be facing a spell out injured after being helped off the field during the first half of Germany's meeting with Azerbaijan.
The 25-year-old was attempting to win the ball back for his side when pulling up, seemingly complaining of an injury to his upper thigh.
Mustafi was carried down the tunnel by members of Germany's medical staff and, to make matters worse for Die Mannschaft, Azerbaijan continued their attacking move to level up the World Cup qualifier.
Initial reports suggest that ex-Valencia centre-back Mustafi could have suffered a tear, which will likely rule him out for a couple of months.
Borussia Monchengladbach's Matthias Ginter was brought on in Mustafi's place, with the match poised at 1-1 midway through.
Reigning world champions Germany went on to win the match 5-1 in Kaiserslautern thanks to four second-half goals.
