Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Jack Wilshere is suffering from a "slight" knee injury, but expects the England international to feature again during pre-season.
The 24-year-old last played a full 90 minutes for the Gunners in September 2014 due to a slew of injury problems.
The midfielder played at Euro 2016, and since returning to his club for pre-season has featured in one match - against MLS All-Stars - but was absent from the Gunners' 3-1 win over CD Guadalajara in Los Angeles last night.
Wenger has revealed that Wilshere has a niggle, but is likely to travel with the team to Norway for a friendly against Viking FK and to Sweden for a match against Manchester City.
"It's a slight patella problem but I think he should be with us on tour on Thursday," The Mirror quotes Wenger as saying. "I hope he will, yes."
Arsenal's opening Premier League game of the new season will be against Liverpool on August 14.
