Newcastle United attacker Rolando Aarons has been selected in the England Under-21 squad for the first time.
The 20-year-old was born in Jamaica, but he recently revealed his desire to represent the Three Lions.
He has now been picked by Under-21s head coach Gareth Southgate for an upcoming European Championships qualifier against Switzerland.
"We see him as a wide player and we are in a situation where, unfortunately, Duncan Watmore has an injury, and Nathan Redmond has been a key player for us and he is out," said Southgate
"For Rolando it is an opportunity for him to come with the Under-21s for the first time and a chance to impress us and get an understanding of the way we work."
Swansea City's Matt Grimes and Arsenal youngster Isaac Hayden have also been handed first call-ups.
