Arsenal reportedly have confidence that they will eventually be able to agree a new long-term contract with Mikel Arteta.
Despite having endured a slow start at the Emirates Stadium, the Spaniard has turned things around, moving the Gunners into a position where they are favourites to return to the Champions League.
However, the 39-year-old's impact in North London has allegedly result in admirers emerging from elsewhere, including from Paris Saint-Germain who may require a replacement for Mauricio Pochettino.
According to football.london, the Gunners have few concerns that any interest from France will prevent them from retaining Arteta's services in the long term.
As it stands, the Spaniard's contract is due to expire in 2023, but the likelihood is that Arsenal will step up their efforts to hand Arteta fresh terms if Champions League football is secured over the coming months.
Arteta has won 65 of his 119 matches in charge of Arsenal, also guiding the club to the FA Cup in 2020. body check tags ::
