Arsenal are reportedly planning to welcome former manager Arsene Wenger and midfielder Santi Cazorla back to the Emirates for a farewell match ahead of the 2020-21 season.
Wenger, who won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups during his tenure with the Gunners, stepped down at the end of the 2017-18 season after a 22-year managerial reign with the North London outfit.
According to the Daily Mail, Wenger has already been contacted regarding a potential return to the Emirates, which would be his first official appearance since 2018.
Likewise, Cazorla, who is now at his second spell with Villarreal, could make an appearance against Arsenal with the Spanish side at the annual Emirates Cup, although the report claims that the Gunners' uncertainty over European football for next year has put their pre-season plans on hold.
The 35-year-old playmaker became a fan favourite at Arsenal following his arrival from Malaga in 2012, but was plagued with an Achilles tendon injury during his final season with the club.
Cazorla has since registered 19 goals in 71 games for Villarreal and has been recalled to the Spanish national side.
