Arsenal will reportedly make another pitch to former player Mikel Arteta regarding the vacant managerial role at the Emirates following Unai Emery's dismissal.
The club announced on Friday morning that Emery, who took over from Arsene Wenger in 2018, had been relieved of his position following a winless run of seven games.
Recent reports have suggested that Arteta, currently Pep Guardiola's assistant at Manchester City, is viewed as a primary candidate for the position.
According to The Independent, the Gunners plan to make another pitch to Arteta, who came very close to becoming Arsenal manager after Wenger's departure.
Guardiola has recently insisted that Arteta will remain at the Etihad until the end of the 2019-20 season.
Brendan Rodgers, Nuno Espirito Santo, Massimiliano Allegri and Carlo Ancelotti have all also been mentioned as potential candidates for the position.
