Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta is convinced that he and his teammates can challenge for the Premier League title this season as their mental "toughness" is returning.
The Gunners have not won a title in 11 years as they have fallen behind Manchester United, Chelsea and more recently Manchester City.
After claiming back-to-back FA Cup final wins, Arteta is confident that Arsene Wenger can guide the team back to the helm.
"The toughness is coming," the Daily Mail quotes Arteta as saying. "We are facing the right direction, although you have to say it has taken us a while as a club to get into the front line again.
"We have won two trophies in two seasons but this group has the ability to do even better. We need to go for the championship. Our failings have been mental, not about ability or technique or the quality of the players we have."
Arsenal's season got off to a bad start after they suffered a 2-0 defeat to West Ham United at the Emirates last Sunday.
