Arsenal vice-captain Mikel Arteta is likely to miss his side's vital Premier League meeting with Newcastle United on Sunday after picking up an injury against Wigan Athletic on Tuesday.
The Spaniard was substituted late on at the Emirates with a calf problem during the Gunners' 4-1 victory over the Latics.
Arsene Wenger's side go into the final game of the season with Champions League qualification within their own hands, although the manager admits that Arteta will almost certainly not play a part.
"Arteta is not right," said Wenger.
"Arteta pulled his calf, so that could be a problem for Sunday. We don't know, we have to wait 24 hours. He will be a massive doubt for Sunday."
A Lukas Podolski brace along with goals from Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey secured Arsenal the win on Tuesday.
