Hector Bellerin has said that it is "nice" to have the trust of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
The Gunners have suffered a string of injuries in defence this season, leading to youngster Bellerin making 13 appearances for the first team.
The 19-year-old told the club's website: "He just told me all the time just to be confident and play like I was playing for the under-21s and Watford. It's nice that he has the courage to trust you. He knows you can do it, so that's what's made me perform the way that I have.
"Watford [on loan in the 2013-14 season] was a really good experience, especially with Gianfranco Zola as a coach, I learned a lot from him. It was just about getting involved in professional football for the first time, getting experience in the Championship and he played me since the first day."
Bellerin scored his first senior goal for the club in their 5-0 win over Aston Villa earlier this month.
