Petr Cech: 'Arsenal have turned a corner away from home'

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech says that his side have turned a corner in their away games following their win over Burnley on Sunday.

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has said that his side have turned a corner in their away games following their win over Burnley on Sunday.

Alexis Sanchez's penalty was enough to give the Gunners just their second away win this term, and move his side into the top four.

Former Chelsea stopper Cech highlighted Arsenal's lack of consistency this season, but said that Arsene Wenger's team could keep climbing the table.

"We said that we wanted to carry on after the big win at home against Tottenham, and we needed to back it up," Cech told reporters. "Apart from the Everton win away, and a good result at Chelsea, we haven't been getting results away from home.

"But we got a big win here and now, hopefully, we've turned the corner in terms of the away games. We need to carry on with our home form and if we can get as many away points as well then we will climb up the table.

"We just showed that when we play on top of our game we are solid, organised and manage to stick to the plan. And if we do that, we can win any game."

Arsenal's win over the Clarets capped a good weekend for Arsene Wenger, after Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool both dropped points in their games.
