Calum Chambers has praised Fulham's impressive Championship promotion run last season and insists that his loan switch from Arsenal "just felt right".
The England international signed a new long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium last month but has been allowed by his parent club to seek first-team experience elsewhere.
Fulham, who will play in the Premier League this season, recruited Chambers for the duration of the 2018-19 campaign earlier this week, and the 23-year-old is looking forward to turning out for a side that plays exciting football.
"It was amazing. The run you guys went on towards the end of the season was incredible," Chambers told the official website. "The style in which Fulham played is not easy, in that league especially, so to do that and be successful with it was great to see.
"Everyone can see that Fulham's a club that likes to play football, play football from the back, through the lines. That's the style of football I like to play as well, so I think it fits me and suits the way I play.
"I'm really excited. I watched a lot of Fulham last season, I really like the way they play football, there's a good manager, it's a great club, so I'm really excited for the season ahead. I know a lot about the club, so when I heard that Fulham were interested in having me here I was really happy and I wanted to come. Everything just felt right."
Chambers is the seventh new arrival at Craven Cottage this summer following the West London club's return to the top flight.
