Arsenal defender Calum Chambers has revealed that he is optimistic about the season ahead following the team's victory over Manchester City in the Community Shield.
The Gunners brushed aside the Premier League champions 3-0 on Sunday to get their campaign off to a positive start.
Chambers is now hopeful that he and his new teammates can fill up the trophy cabinet at the Emirates Stadium even more in the coming months.
"It's a fantastic team," he told BBC Sport. "We have got a great spirit here and I think we're going to do really well this season. Today we showed what we can do so I hope this can continue for the season."
Arsenal start the new Premier League season at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
