Former Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has admitted that he is puzzled by criticism of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
Wenger celebrated his 18th year in charge of the Gunners earlier this week, and Dalglish believes that the Frenchman does not get the credit he deserves.
Speaking to The Mirror, Dalglish said: "You know what? I look at Arsenal and Wenger and I really don't see what the problem is. I don't understand why he gets all this criticism. I don't understand why one defeat is used as a reason to question his position.
"Sure, I had the occasional row with him when I was Liverpool manager. That's irrelevant. When I look at Wenger, I see a manager who doesn't get the credit he deserves.
"In particular, I'm thinking about the way he dealt with Arsenal's move from Highbury to the Emirates stadium. Wenger might as well have built the Emirates with his own hands - it was his teams that gave them the foundation to move there."
Wenger's side travel to Chelsea on Sunday.
