Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has admitted that it 'felt strange' to be left on the bench for the team's recent victory over Hull City.
The French international was given a rare rest by manager Arsene Wenger as the Gunners ran out 2-0 winners in the Premier League encounter.
Despite being unhappy with sitting out the match, Giroud insists that he understands Wenger's decision.
"It did feel strange and I was a bit frustrated because I really want to play every game," he told the club's official website.
"The boss said he had reason to leave me on the bench because it is better to have a rest sometimes, but I am obviously just really happy that the team won the game."
Giroud has scored 10 goals in 22 games for Arsenal so far this season.
