Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has claimed that he has had a better start to his Gunners career than Robin van Persie.
The Frenchman, who signed for the North London club last summer, has noted that his goal statistics are more impressive than now Manchester United striker Robin van Persie's first season at Arsenal.
"I do not know of an attacker who is not interested in his numbers," Giroud told L'Equipe. "Since the beginning of the season, I registered 14 goals and given 11 assists.
"For the first season, it's better than the beginning Van Persie had, even though when he arrived at Arsenal, he was younger."
Meanwhile, the Gunners currently reside in sixth place of the league table, four points adrift of a Champions League spot.
