Fulham manager Martin Jol feels that his side deserved to get at least a point from their game with Arsenal.
The Cottagers were reduced to 10 men early in the match when Steve Sidwell was sent off for a challenge on Mikel Arteta and Per Mertesacker scored the only goal of the contest in a win for the Gunners.
Jol told the club's official website: "If you saw us in the last 10 minutes, we substituted people and tried to get something out of the game and I think we deserved to get something out of it.
"Wigan Athletic and Aston Villa have got a big hill to climb but that is not what we want [to rely on]. We want to pick up a few results and get near to 50 points.
"Of course it's a heavy schedule and after today's result it will probably be difficult to get these points."
Fulham are 11th in the Premier League, nine points clear of the relegation zone.
