Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal has admitted the faith that manager Arsene Wenger has shown in him has helped him perform better in his first two months in England.
Monreal has impressed since joining the Gunners from Malaga in January, but the full-back has insisted that he hasn't found the transition from Spain to England an easy change to make.
The 27-year-old told talkSPORT: "Everything has been challenging in different amounts, because the league is completely different to La Liga.
"Coming here and not speaking the language, being unable to communicate with my teammates, is one of many difficult situations that is making me grow as a person and as a player.
"Since I've been here, the manager has given me a lot of confidence and he's been starting me. This has been very important for me because it helps a lot to feel that the manager has faith in me, especially as I've just arrived."
The Spanish international has made six Premier League appearances since his arrival at the Emirates Stadium.
