Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has admitted that he does not understand why France supporters booed him during Monday's international friendly against Cameroon.
The 29-year-old took his tally to five goals in six appearances after scoring for his country in a 3-2 victory in Nantes.
Despite getting on the scoresheet, there were plenty of jeers from the crowd, which has left Giroud baffled.
"I don't know," Goal.com quotes Giroud as saying. "You know I've had difficult moments that have been difficult to manage in my career, so these don't affect me, but it's a shame.
"Being French, playing for France, if you miss a chance you expect your fans to encourage you. That's what they're there for. In any case, I scored a goal with my only shot. So I don't really understand it, but the important thing was that we won, and I've continued my little personal run."
France, who are the hosts of Euro 2016, will begin their campaign on June 10 against Romania.
