Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has said that he is "delighted" for former teammate Rickie Lambert following the Southampton striker's winning goal for England against Scotland on Wednesday.
Lambert grabbed the winner with his first touch in the Three Lions' 3-2 victory and Oxlade-Chamblerlain, who played with Lambert for the Saints, expressed his happiness after the game.
"I think it's all a bit of a blur for him at the moment, but I am delighted for Lambo," Oxlade-Chamberlain told Sky Sports News.
"Obviously I was at Southampton with him and I remember how good he was to me and how he encouraged me. He's such a humble man and the nicest bloke in the world. I am absolutely delighted for him."
Lambert himself hailed a dream come true following the game.
