Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has been voted as Germany's national Player of the Year 2013.
In an online fans' poll conducted by the German Football Federation, the 25-year-old came first with more than 30% of the votes, with Philipp Lahm and Thomas Muller finishing second and third respectively.
"This award makes me proud and happy, above all, because [the vote] was carried out by the fans," he told Dfb.de.
This is the third year in a row that Ozil has won the award.
