Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that it is still too early for his side to be thinking about winning the Premier League title this season.
Spurs pulled off a 2-1 victory over fellow challengers Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon to move within two points of leaders Leicester City after the Foxes were beaten by Arsenal on a big day in the title race.
Pochettino acknowledged that it was an "important" win for his side that could get the fans dreaming of the title, but insists that his players will be keeping their feet on the ground for now.
"It was a very important victory, [we're] happy. I think our players deserve full credit for the performance," Pochettino told reporters.
"Like always you need to work hard and try to improve every day and we are now in a good position in the table but is too early to start to speak about the title. It was a big test for us. It is important to start to feel that when you come to a stadium like Manchester City to play against a big team you can win. It is very important for the future.
"It is true that our supporters can dream, this is important, but for us we start to prepare for the game against Fiorentina."
Spurs have not won the top-flight title since 1961.
