Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has said that he will be wary of the "world-class" ability of Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez when the two teams clash at Anfield on Sunday.
The Reds were keen to bring Sanchez to the club in the summer, but the Chile international opted to make a £32m switch to the Gunners.
The South American has scored 14 goals for Arsenal so far this season, and Rodgers is aware of the threat he will pose this weekend.
Rodgers told reporters: "[Sanchez] is a world-class player with outstanding quality. Arsenal are a top side with outstanding players. It will be a difficult game for us.
"He was identified as someone to come in who'd be perfect for us. Brilliant player with outstanding quality and great work rate so we'll know he'll be a threat at the weekend."
Liverpool are currently 11th in the Premier League.
