Bacary Sagna believes that Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Stoke City this afternoon could turn out to be a valuable point for the Gunners.
Arsene Wenger's side now have a four-point margin between themselves in third and Newcastle United in fourth place.
Despite dropping points at the Britannia Stadium, French full-back Sagna has insisted that it could go a long way to helping the club realise their ambition of securing Champions League football.
"[Stoke] are a very physical team," Sagna told Sky Sports News. "[The draw] was very important because it's never easy to get some points here but today it might be a very important point.
"Some teams are behind us but we know we have our destiny in our hands.
"We've worked a lot to come back to third place and we want to stay and qualify straight away."
Arsenal's remaining fixtures are against Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion.
